These sugar-free quick pickled onions are a must-have staple in my fridge! Super versatile and one of the best ways to add great flavor to any dish. I make a batch of these almost every week to add to my tacos, salads, avocado toasts, or anything I want to add acidity too.

Most commercially bought pickles are made with a sugar-and-salt brine. However, if youโ€™re trying to reduce your sugar intake, this version uses stevia instead while still keeping its traditional flavor. Stevia is an excellent alternative as it doesnโ€™t spike your blood sugar levels.

Sugar-Free Quick Pickled Onions

Super versatile and one of the best ways to add great flavor to any dish. This version uses stevia instead of sugar, still keeping its traditional flavor.

Ingredients:

  • 1 Large Red Onion, Sliced
  • 1c Water
  • 1c  Apple Cider Vinegar
  • 1tsp Pickling Spices
  • 2tbsp Salt
  • 1 Stevia Packet

Instructions:

  1. Place all ingredients in a saucepan
  2. Mix + bring to a boil
  3. Place onions in a jar
  4. Pour brine into a jar
  5. Cover and let them sit for a minimum 20min.
  6. Store in the  fridge for up to a week
